April 23 to May 24, 1999, at The National Technical Museum in Prague
With kind support of Adobe, Apple, Epson and Polaroid in the Czech Republic
At the beginning of this project was a collection of images that I took during the better part of the past decade. Candid photographs of people, from wherever and whenever I was in the mood to take pictures. Images in color, since, until very recently, color was my favorite. When I was deciding about how to harmoniously exhibit these pictures coming from diverse, sometimes aged color slide and negative films, I chose to do it digitally. I scanned the film originals on a Polaroid Sprintscan 35 Plus scanner, adjusted the scanned images on an Apple StudioDisplay 21" monitor driven by an Apple G3 Blue computer in Adobe Photoshop and finally output the exhibit prints in A2 format on an Epson Stylus 3000 inkjet printer. Finally, with all the pictures already in the computer, compressing them with Adobe ImageReady and creating this website was quite an easy task. I would like to thank to Jarmila Slaba, Special Exhibit Curator of The National Technical Museum, Matous Filipi of Adobe, Petr Nemecek of Apple, Antal Szentesi of Epson and Jan Pachman of Polaroid for all their assistance in making this exhibit happen. Special thanks to Cécile for being there when it mattered. |
